International Transportation in Venezuela
Venezuela is connected to the world primarily via air and sea. In the south east Amazon rainforest region there is limited cross-border transportation. In the West there is a mountainous border that covers 1,375 miles shared with Colombia. Oceangoing vessels can navigate the Orinoco River up to 400km inland which connects to the major industrial city of Ciudad Guayana to the Atlantic Ocean. Transportation via train is limited in Venezuela, there are no active rail connections to other countries.
